Is The Mentorship Squad Free?

Yes, however, specific services (CV, personal statement, and application review, Mock Medical School and Residency Interviews) are offered at a cost.

Do I have to be enrolled in The Mentorship Squad to use the specific services?

No

I’m not a Black or Latinx woman. Can I still enroll in The Mentorship Squad?

At this time, The Mentorship Squad is limited to Black and Latinx women in the United States who are on the path to becoming U.S. physicians

However, I am still available to answer questions on Instagram (@LifeByTosin).

What if I am a Black man pursuing the path to becoming a U.S. physician?

At this time, The Mentorship Squad is limited to Black and Latinx women in the United States who are on the path to becoming U.S. physicians. However, I want to provide you with some direction and useful resources.

Daniel and Dale created Black Men In White Coats, which is an organization that seeks to increase the number of black men in the field of medicine by exposure, inspiration, and mentoring.

www.diversemedicine.com is another website through Black Men in White Coats with doctors, medical students, and medical school recruiters that you may benefit from.

What if I am an International Medical Graduate (IMG) pursuing the path to becoming a U.S. physician?

At this time, The Mentorship Squad is limited to Black and Latinx women in the United States who are on the path to becoming U.S. physicians.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of IMGs, I am unable to provide one-on-one mentoring. Also, I do not have the expert knowledge or tools at this time to mentor IMGs. However, I want to provide you with some direction and useful resources.

Dr. Nina Lum is an Internal Medicine physician in Kentucky and Dr. Kimberly Brown is an Emergency Medicine physician in Memphis, TN.

Both have walked in your shoes and understand the challenges of being an IMG.
